Meet the owner
My name is Logan Richards, and I’m the proud owner of Alpaca Painting. I started Alpaca Painting in 2023 while attending Mount Royal University as a way to help put myself through school. What started as a small student-run business has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of.
At Alpaca Painting, we believe that quality work comes from doing things the right way. We take every project seriously, with a strong focus on proper preparation, professional procedures, quality products, and premium finishes that are built to last.
As an owner-operated local business, I take pride in being personally involved in our projects and making sure our customers receive reliable communication, attention to detail, and a finished product we’re proud to put the Alpaca Painting name on.
Whether we’re refreshing a single room or transforming an entire home, our goal is simple: provide quality painting and a great experience from the initial estimate to the final walkthrough.

What we do
Painting, done properly.
Alpaca Painting is an owner-operated painting company working with homeowners and businesses across Calgary and surrounding areas. We take on interior and exterior work, deck and fence staining, and commercial projects.
- Interior Painting — Transform your interior with clean, professional painting for walls, ceilings, trim, doors and accent walls.
- Exterior Painting — Siding, trim, doors and garages, plus deck and fence staining — refreshed with proper preparation and a finish built for Alberta weather.
- Commercial Painting — Painting for businesses, offices, retail spaces and rental properties, scheduled around how you actually operate.
Our mission
To deliver painting work we are happy to put our name on, and to make the whole process straightforward for the customer.
Our approach
How we work.
The things we care about on every project, whatever its size.
Proper preparation
The preparation is what determines how a paint job looks in a year. Filling, sanding, masking and protecting the space come before anything else.
Quality products
Premium finishes chosen to suit the surface and to stand up to Alberta weather, so the result lasts rather than just looking good on handover day.
Reliable communication
You know what is happening and when — from the estimate, through scheduling, to the final walkthrough.
Respect for your property
Floors, furniture, fixtures and landscaping are protected before we start, and the site is cleaned up at the end of each day.
